Novice/Total Beginner – Flat Water Day

This is the first trip of the year aimed at introducing Freshers to the joys of kayaking. Mainly flat water except for one MASSIVE rapid, whatever Jim and Beckett tell you.

A fun day involving some simple kayaking and water based games.

We do this in two trips. Both meeting at and returning to THE UNION.

Please be on time and bring; HOT DRINK, SNACK, TWO SETS OF WARM CLOTHES. Please also bring trainers or water shoes to wear in your boat and dry ones for after.

You should wear warm, light fleeces and not cotton on the water and can buy cheap fleeces and pumps to wear in the boat from PRIMARK.

Wetsuits, buoyancy aids, spray decks and boats are all provided. COST £5 – BRING THIS WITH YOU!
