Hello and thanks for taking an interest in kayaking. As a club we hope to cater for everyone whether you are a complete beginner, a hardened white water warrior, freestyle king (or queen) or just an utter socialite!

Performance Sport 

Last year the club had great BUCS success, 5th at Slalom & coming 2nd at the WWR. These are elite, but not exclusive, competitions. Training takes place on Wednesday afternoons. If you have previously competed in events, you may be eligible for a sports scholarship; www.ncl.ac.uk/sport/performance/scholarships

Canoe Polo

Ok, so what’s that then? It’s a cross between basket ball, water polo and kayaking. Fun, right!? Added to the fact you can push people in, I think so! If you have an interest in trying this out, or even better, if you have played before then there is a separate club! The NUCPC meet on Tuesdays also at Elswick Pool, 7:30-9:30PM.
